Palais Bulles - or the “Bubble Palace” - is a villa located in Théole-sur-Mer, facing the bay of Cannes, and designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag. Built for French industrialist Pierre Bernard, the place was later acquired by the fashion designer Pierre Cardin as a holiday home.
The ten-bedrooms-palace was inspired by cave dwellings, which rethinks the first homes of mankind, and is made of sensual curves that draw a resemblance to the organic features of the human body. Besides its unusual shape, Palais Bulles is filled with labyrinthine corridors and spherical rooms with round windows and doors facing both the sky and the sea.
This amazing villa goes beyond an architectural masterpiece to be also a home to art works by contemporary artists and a collection of 1960’s and 1970’s furniture bought by Cardin, who always aimed to make the space a place of modernity and creativity.

Since Palais Bulles is a private property, it cannot be visited. It is possible to rent it though! With 1200 m² and a 500-seat amphitheater, the place has already hosted various events, including a Dior fashion show, and can be privatized for previews, concerts, private parties, and even weddings.
