Hello dear readers! It was about time we brought you guys another cool creator to get you inspired. This time we present you Mélanie Clénet, a graduate of the Métiers d’Art in costume design and applied arts. This amazing artist is reinventing homeware by developing textile design works based on rope.

Miss Clénet creates objects by experimenting with forms, functions, and colors. They are thought to be functional and fit for everyday use as well as to participate in the decoration of a space. All of the pieces are handcrafted in Mélanie’s workshop in Nantes, France.
The collection we’ve chosen to showcase here is her 2019 collection of pieces, murals, fixtures, and containers, all worked on sewn ropes. Her wall pieces work perfectly isolated or together, opening the possibility of numerous different compositions.
The collection also features different lighting pieces that play with rounded shapes and contrasting colors, offering many possibilities to reinvent playful interiors.
