Masquespacio new design - Milan Ichi Station
A reimagined space to give you
a unique dining experience
—
Hello design junkies,
Masquespacio presents the latest project designed in Milan for sushi take away chain Ichi Station.
For this new space, the previous “travel and station” inspiration was evolved to a more conceptual one, moving away from literal and traditional travel representations.
Located in a building from the beginning of the past century in an historical street of Milan, the new design breaks traditional elements, converting the space into a contemporary concept and its own capsule to travel into time.
Ichi is inspired in the 90s and represents a travel through light that transports you to know it’s different and eclectic flavors, while dining in a spaceship of the future.
The material selection for their custom-made furniture, such as glass and microcement, was intended to create homogeneous surfaces that remind us of a spaceship.
We also want to highlight the use of an indirect led lighting system with RGB colors that could transform the atmosphere depending on the time of the day.
The most stand out element is although visible at the second part of the restaurant, where the ceiling that have been lowered to the maximum possible level and where a half sphere makes you enter a tunnel to the future in which you can see a live performance of Ichi’s sushi chefs.
It’s a truly unique dining experience.
