ARCO Compañia Cultural is a space that takes place in an old house, from the 1930s, located in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighbourhood, Mexico City, where the diverse architectural styles of the early 20th century are still preserved, including neocolonial and art deco houses.

WORC’s magnificent breathes contemporary character into a space steeped in history, seamlessly merging art, design, and architecture. The result is more than just a workspace, it’s a collaborative hub that honours its heritage while fostering innovation and creativity. This cultural company stands as a testament to how thoughtful restoration can transform history into a living, inspiring experience.

The proposal aimed to restore authenticity by fusing architectural history, green spaces, and fine materials. Each stroke, arch, and window tells a visual story, with every corner reflecting a balance of time and design, merging the past with the present.

The kitchen was redesigned to blend seamlessly with the building’s historic aesthetic. Lighting was added to the original mouldings, and the walls kept their worn-in look.

The façade underwent meticulous restoration, preserving its historic charm while integrating it seamlessly into the evolving urban landscape. The blacksmith shops were brought back to life, showing off their original charm.

The ground floor has a living area and showroom, highlighting the work of the offices, with a dining room, bedroom, and a patio with a fountain. The first floor is all about the offices, showing off a great collaboration. The second floor is where the meetings happen, plus it opens up to a terrace, a peaceful green spot in the city.
