As much as we all love summer, we also know that the hot sunny summer breezes can create dryness to our skin and lips. Lucky for us, Apoth and Co. spoils us with a promising lip care line.

Apoth and Co is born in London and identifies itself as a cruelty free, conscious brand that uses high quality, natural (mostly vegan) ingredients.

The power of nature is the driving force of Apoth and Co. So besides creating products that are natural and cruelty-free, they are also very passionate about taking care of our planet. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are the 3 rules of the brand. Their packaging doesn’t contain single-use plastic and they make sure they reduce the use of other environmentally harmful materials as much as possible. In this way, by buying their products, you will also contribute to taking care of our mother earth.

The main goal of Apoth and Co is to make us feel confident every time we use their products. Although ‘natural’ might have a boring connotation to some people, Apoth and Co wants to show that natural can be fun! We believe they did a great job in showing that natural is the way to go!

Being a conscious consumer and feeling confident by using their products reflects the brand name ‘Apoth and Co’. ‘Apoth’ is the apotheosis of an apothecary, and Co is us! We are the co-curators as we buy their products.

The lip care line consists of a lip scrub, gel and balm. To boost the overall results, the products are created in such a way that they complement each other perfectly. Apoth and Co suggests you to start with the lip scrub, followed by the lip mask and finished by the lip balm. The products can be bought separately or as a trio.

The Lip Scrub - Exfoliate

The lip scrub is created to exfoliate the lips. Ingredients such a sweet almond oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and peppermint are used to make the exfoliation process as good as possible. The oils make sure your lips are exfoliated in a very skin-friendly way. The peppermint leaves you with a feeling of freshness, which is exactly what we need in summer!

The lip mask - Hydrating

The lip mask is created to give a hydration boost to your lips. Especially after the exfoliation, the lip mask can hydrate profoundly. The best hydrating ingredients are used in this product; Aloe vera, safflower oil, crambe seed oil, raspberry seed oil, hyaluronic acid and vitamins A and C.

The lip balm - Moisturising

To finish off the process, Apoth and Co created a super moisturising lip balm. They practically included all the possible natural ingredients that are proven to be effective in moisturising and sealing the lips; organic palm oil, coconut oil, jojoba wax, peach kernel oil, avocado butter, cocoa butter, beeswax and Vitamin E. (You have to admit that - even without trying the lip balm - this sounds very promising?!)

I was positively surprised by Apoth and Co. lip care line! I’ve got a very sensitive skin and during summer my lips get really damaged due to the combination of sunburn + salty sea water, so I’m always in need of products to recover the skin on my lips. I gave Apoth and Co. line a try and must confess I didn’t think it would work so well as it did! I was a bit afraid of using the lip scrub (because of my sensitivity) but it proved to work perfectly well - it did the work without damaging or hurting my skin. My personal favorite though was the hydrating mask, as soon as I wiped it out I could already feel the difference on the texture of my lips - smooth and soft. As for the balm, well, it’s the perfect finishing touch for this deep lip recovering treatment. Apoth and Co. is now officially part of my skin care routine! - B.

I really like the lip care line! During winter and summer my lips can be very dry, hence I’m always searching for a good lip balm. It’s surprising how hard it is to find products that are natural and also effective. Almost all lip products contain petroleum, which I am not very fond of. However, on the other hand, all the products that don’t contain petroleum don’t seem to work as good as the ones that do. The products from Apoth and Co. made me very happy since they are completely natural and contain rich and high quality ingredients. Besides that, they are also effective! Since the first use, the lip balm has been with me everywhere I go. I also tried the scrub and mask and I do believe that the combination would give you the best results. However, in general I don’t find much time to do these things so I prefer to stick to the lip balm. - L.
